AOH Suffolk County (NY) Board – Irish-American Heritage Month

On Saturday Mach 12, 2022 AOH Suffolk County President, Bill Gorham received a proclamation from Suffolk County Executive, Steve Bellone.  County Executive Bellone (who is a Hibernian Brother from Suffolk County’s Division 2), stated; “on behalf of the 1.5 million residents of Suffolk County, I officially proclaim that March 2022 is Irish American Heritage Month here in Suffolk County. We celebrate and recognize the rich history and the many contributions of the Irish and Irish-Americans over the years here in our County”. 

President Gorham proudly accepted this proclamation and thanked County Executive Bellone for recognizing Irish-Americans here in Suffolk County.  Along with President Gorham, was Jack Ryan, AOH National Director – District 6; Suffolk County’s  Vice President and past president Division 2, Bill Corrigan; Financial Secretary Dennis Harty (current Suffolk County Division 2 President); Jerry Belmont, past Suffolk County and Division 2 President along with past Suffolk County 2 Division Presidents, Matt Buckley, Tom Bennet and Jim Killen.  Suffolk County Legislature and Division 2 Brother, Kevin McCaffrey was also in attendance to lend his support.
